High heel shoes spread around the floor in a mess.

One day, I was walking through my bedroom and tripped on a pair of shoes, only to step on another pair. Yes, it was both frustrating and funny. I don’t know why I was walking so close to the shoe rack, but all of my shoes didn’t fit on it, so some were standing on the floor in front of it. The taller ones - the ones that stand over 6 inches tall - were often forgotten about in my normal rush to get out of the house. Why? Well, because I had to keep them in their boxes or under the bed (out of sight, out of mind). I wanted to see them, but they were in the way.

At that moment I stopped, had a seat, and began to search the internet for a shoe rack to meet my needs. I already had three, but most of my shoes have high heels or tall shafts, so they don’t fit on standard shoe racks. I searched and searched, but could not find one that adjusted the way I needed. There were nice options available, if I wanted to spend on modular units or fancy designs which wouldn’t fit my space. I certainly wasn’t going out to have a custom closet built. I wanted something as simple as the ones I already had. Before the end of the day, I had sketched a design, which I knew would be useful to more people in my shoe’tuation. See what I did there?

This design fits more of my shoes. I think it’s the best, so I call it the best. I’m glad I’ll have an opportunity to share it with you.
